Wedding Preparation Tips

Updated: Mar 28, 2022

When it comes to getting ready for your special day, there are a few practices that will make all the difference in your hair and makeup results for your wedding day! If you have acne-prone skin & are suffering from acne, dark spots and/or texture our first recommendation is to see a skin professional (Esthetician/Dermatologist) as soon as possible to start on a skincare plan so that your skin is in the best condition possible for your big day.

Even if your skin is pretty clear for the most part, we still recommend that you have a skin consultation with a skin professional to come up with a plan and a regimen/tailored skin care routine that will aid in your skin looking its best.

A few things to keep in mind as your special day approaches and you need to prepare for the big day.

First, maintain a high in-take of water. This may sound redundant but it is super important to stay hydrated. Not only will the hydration aid in the appearance of your skin, it will also help flush out impurities which can help your over-all wellness and health. If you feel like you want to take it a step further, incorporating celery juice into your diet will not only improve your health but it will also give you #glowing skin!

Second, invest in your skincare. Use products that are not only effective, but also safe for your skin. Using quality products will not only help with achieving your skin goals, but this will help you maintain the results. Having a morning and nighttime routine will help you achieve your goals and help you look your best!

Third, use SPF!! There is nothing worse than spending time and money on routines and products if you're not protecting your skin! Some of our favorite SPF brands are #Image & #Supergoop :)

Lastly, get your rest! It is so important to be well-rested for your special day so that you can look and feel your absolute best!

The night before your wedding day it is CRUCIAL that you exfoliate your skin & remove any facial hair. Words cannot describe the difference that having a smooth and hydrated canvas makes when it comes to having your makeup done. If you're up for it, take these steps a bit further by applying a sleeping mask before bed or applying a sheet mask before getting your makeup done.

As far as your hair, make sure your hair is clean and blow-dried straight. The smoother the hair, the better the results. Try to avoid flat-irons past the roots of your hair if this step is needed.

Some of our favorite recommended products are:

-#Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream (Gentle Exfoliator for all skin types)

-#OleHenriksen Banana Eye Bright Creme (brightening eye cream)

-#Kopari Lip glossy (for hydrated lips)

-#Tatcha Deep Hydration Lifting Mask (sheet mask)

-#Laneige Water Sleeping Mask (sleep mask)
